I have been following DC Comics
for a while, and noticed that I didn’t see any tweets from them. I decided to investigate and visited their Twitter page:

Now why do you think they get followed with such a poor record? This defies all Twitter marketing rules by a long shot!
I think that it’s because they’re such a presence in the comic world, and that they have strong fans. This certainly proves to me at least that if you truly have a very very respected fan base, the normal Twitter marketing rules don’t apply.
Clearly though, seeing as they never Tweet, they are not using it for marketing reasons anyway. I’d really appreciate tweets though. Yes, I am also following them, and you know why? Because I’m a big fan and I feel I deserve to be in that club – sad eh?!
